Description

At the character's birthday, he opened his birthday party at home and waited for his friends. However, as time passed, no one showed up. Then he decided to take matters into his own hands and began to make a cake with legos all by himself.

I wanted to bring a touch of humor to an otherwise sad situation. The character I created faces circumstances that are far from enjoyable for most people, yet they remain unfazed and resilient, finding ways to overcome these challenges.

Process

I started the process by creating a mind map to develop the character further. I focused on crafting their personality first, ensuring it was relatable and layered. Visually, I aimed to introduce a twist that would bring humor to the audience. As a result, the character contrasts their timid personality with a large, exaggerated body and disproportionately oversized hands.
