This project interprets Chapter 9 of The Poetics of Space by Gaston Bachelard through typography and spatial composition.
Language is treated as a spatial element rather than pure text, exploring states of openness, enclosure, and hesitation between inside and outside.
Scientific imagery such as magnetic fields and planetary structures is used to visualize invisible forces and boundaries, extending Bachelard’s ideas beyond metaphor.
Together, text and image create a reading experience that reflects the notion of the “half-open being,” where space, language, and meaning remain fluid and in motion.
