Korean idioms are an integral part of everyday conversation, transcending generations, genders, and ideological divides that might separate various groups. They provide subtle nuances that help convey situations and emotions that traditional word choices often fail to capture completely.
Korean idioms are an integral part of everyday conversation, transcending generations, genders, and ideological divides that might separate various groups. They provide subtle nuances that help convey situations and emotions that traditional word choices often fail to capture completely.
These idioms reflect people’s life experiences, knowledge, and cultural backgrounds. However, many Koreans use them all the time that we sometimes overlook the idiom’s playful, creative, and imaginative qualities. Through these illustrations, I aimed to bring their humor and creativity to life.
Although the idioms often carry meanings deeper than the literal words, their intentions are easy to grasp, emphasizing the beauty of language as a bridge between words and understanding.
