Description
The sequence centers around skin mites inhabiting our skin. These minuscule creatures, known as Demodex Folliculorum, had initially been thought of as parasites. However, research suggests that they feed on sebum and help keep our skin clean, indicating symbiosis rather than parasitism.
The sequence centers around skin mites inhabiting our skin. These minuscule creatures, known as Demodex Folliculorum, had initially been thought of as parasites. However, research suggests that they feed on sebum and help keep our skin clean, indicating symbiosis rather than parasitism.
This sequence reveals what could be happening on our skin right now, where skin mites are represented as office workers who are unable to control sebum secretion and cause a pimple eruption.

Process
For the character design, my teammate and I wanted each character design to reflect on how each character reacts in the case of a pimple emergency. To achieve this, we assigned different emotional aspects to the character (humor, anger, panic, nonchalance, fear) and designed their appearance based on their emotions. We also referenced the TV show “The Office” and studied how characters interact in an office setting.
