I started with the idea of a self-portrait to express “myself within my phone.” In today’s world, our phones often reflect who we are, guiding us through daily life. I aimed to create a tool that allows users to represent their digital selves clearly and concisely through simple charts, which they can share with others.
In developing this app, I considered features valuable to both creators and users, striving to balance their needs for an engaging experience. The app’s name, ‘rec-code,’ combines “Record” and “Barcode.” It utilizes recorded statistics from phones, using design elements as barcodes. Just as barcodes identify products, I want this app to help users understand their “self” through their phone activities.I hope users gain insight into their digital habits and routines, enabling them to refine and balance their digital lives.
